Imagine if gaster just turned out to be a joke character. Like, if Toby put the mystery man thing just as a joke bc he knew the fandom would go insane. Or if it just had nothing to do with Deltarune. All those theories down the drain, bc papyrus or something was actually the knight. Both hilarious and depressinh. Such a toby fox thing to do tho.
